Groups

Groups play a significant role in our church life. They are where deep friendships develop, where people have fun and know they can be themselves, belong and  connect. You are warmly invited to join a group of your choice, whether you have just started attending or been coming for a while.

There are a number of Groups which meet at various times and on different days of the week. Most meet in each other’s homes. They are all different to cater for a wide range of needs.
There is no set pattern for what Groups do when they meet, but they might pray or read the Bible, give time to share with one another and of course, have refreshments. There is freedom for Groups to do whatever people in them want to do.

We encourage people in all groups to pray for a heart for the lost, if they don’t have one and to pray consistently for or one or two friends or colleagues or neighbours or family members to come to know Jesus. People don’t have to do this is the group. Often they do so in their own time. But it is nice to maybe check in every so often with the group, to share how these prayers are progressing and any joys or disappointments arising.

As we have new people coming into the church all the time, and as groups fill up because of lack of space in someone’s home, we set up new groups often. There is always room for another new group and the freedom to start a new group for a particular reason or interest.
